As a Parent Education Trainer at Family Focus, you will have a vital role in providing high quality parenting intervention programs to families in Stoke-on-Trent. These programs are crafted to enhance parenting abilities, enhance parent-child relationships, and tackle behavioural issues in children.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured group sessions and workshops as part of the Incredible Years programme, following the established curriculum and lesson plans.
- Organise and coordinate training sessions, ensuring all logistical arrangements are in place, including venue booking, materials preparation, and participant registration.
- Facilitate group discussions, interactive activities, and role-playing exercises to engage participants and reinforce learning objectives effectively.
- Provide guidance, support, and encouragement to programme participants, fostering a supportive and non-judgmental environment conducive to learning and growth.
- Conduct one-on-one consultations with parents/caregivers to address specific concerns, provide personalised advice, and develop tailored strategies for parenting success.
- Maintain accurate records of programme attendance, participant progress, and feedback received.
- Working collaboratively with lead trainer, senior management and have involvement in the preparation of comprehensive reports as required by funders and stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest research, developments, and best practices in parenting education and child development. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
- Collaborate closely with lead trainer, management, family support workers, and external partners, to ensure seamless service delivery and integrated support for families.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including health and safety guidelines and safeguarding protocols.
